For reservations from 5:45pm onwards on Wednesday and Thursday, please use the restaurant entrance located on Orange Street. For all other reservations you can access through the Galleries main doors, The National Portrait Gallery is open until 9pm on Friday and Saturday. The Portrait Restaurant operates as a cash-free restaurant and bar. We currently take payments through contactless, debit & credit cards, Apple Pay & Google Pay. NOTE: Any items larger than 56 x 25 x 45 cm are not permitted in the building. Folding bicycles, skateboards and adult scooters are not permitted in the building. In the interests of security, it may be necessary to conduct bag searches. Visitors are asked to present any bags to Security staff for inspection on request.
