About Us
The Telegraph was named after Admiralty Telegraph, a shutter station which stood on this site from 1796-1848 to convey messages between London and Portsmouth at the time of the Napoleonic Wars. We would describe ourselves as a country pub at heart, set in a beautiful area, spoilt for choice for lovely walks through our neighbouring parkland.
Our bar is at the heart of everything, crammed with local ales and jam packed shelves full of everything you could wish for. You can choose to drink or dine over two floors or sit in our garden and watch the world go by.
We offer a range of delicious fresh dishes each day from hearty pub classics to something a little more exotic and have a well-stocked wine cellar to accompany your choices.
